While drawing, I discover what I really want to say.

Overview
In 2021 a group of artists from the North Yorkshire coastal region met to talk about creating a shared space to work along side other artists and support each other. Four years on, early 2025 will see the newly restored, former United Reform Church, located on West Road, Loftus, ready to welcome artists as a developing arts venue, providing artist’s studios, a gallery, an events, performance and workshop spaces.
Our goal is to cultivate creativity and provide opportunities for interactions between artists and audiences.
Our core focus is on the importance of drawing, as a skill and language: a way to record observations, experiment with colour and line, to plan, to explore, and express ideas and emotions. We aim to promote drawing as a fundamental skill in the visual arts that serves as the foundation for other art forms. Drawing is a primary language. It is also a crucial route to innovation across the creative disciplines including fine art, animation and filmmaking, architecture, product design, engineering and fashion.
We encourage exploration, and collaboration where artists from different disciplines and audiences can meet, engage and share opportunities, we offer access to exhibitions, performances, a learning programme, and venue hire.
